Installations
From two installations that graced our fair isle the past year.
Afternoon window at the old Essex Street Market, site of Mike Nelson's "A Psychic Vacuum":
I really enjoyed this piece. Hard to describe though; ya had to be there.
Next is a scene from Damien Hirst's "School: The Archaeology of Lost Desires, Comprehending Infinity, and the Search for Knowledge," (oy!) installed in the lobby of Lever House:
The child is not part of the work, but everything else is. Oy.
My (very brief) 2 cents: Crap. Hirst is not always bad, but this was awful. I hope he's in on the joke.
