Chiapas
The NY Times's "Frugal Traveler" has been reporting from Chiapas, Mexico, this week. The articles remind me of the great time that Colleen & I had there two summers ago, since he went to many of the same places that we did -- San Cristobal de Las Casas, San Juan Chamula, Zinacantan, and the Mayan ruins in Palenque.
I've posted photos from Chiapas before, but I looked back through my files yesterday and found a few more. Colleen & I met this boy on our way up to a church at the top of a long, zig-zagging set of stairs:
Sky, wires, and landscape, San Cristobal:
Wall and signs in San Cristobal:
Soda bottles:
Mayan girls at their home store in Zinacantan:
Boy at the "Misol Ha" falls:
Colleen's answer to "Where did the ancient Maya go?" in Palenque:
