Sign of the Times
Two headlines from this morning's NY Times about the ol' Greenback:
"The Incredible Shrinking American Dollar," reporting that the U.S. dollar is currently at its lowest international value since 1967, a result caused by, among other things, our Government's bailout of financial institutions since last year's "economic crisis," and
"Warhol Fetches $43.7 Million at Auction," discussing last night's sale of Warhol's "200 One-Dollar Bills," an early 60s silkscreen painting (of, literally, 200 $1 bills), for $43.7 million, well above Sotheby's high-estimate of $12 million.
