This is my friend Joe, who visited last week from San Francisco:


Seaman Avenue, July 2008. I made him stand in the kitchen so I could take this photograph. What a friend, eh?

Joe fights the good fight as a lawyer advocating on behalf of medical marijuana patients in California; he works principally for Americans for Safe Access, a non-profit dedicated to "promoting safe and legal access to cannabis for therapeutic use and research."

I believe the torn poster is for some sort of marijuana peace march that occurred a couple of months ago.
